Eat your heart out Mr. Pratt

Mr. Pratt recently commented on his desire to see a good lightning storm as to be able to photograph the strikes. These were taken in about 10 minutes this evening looking out over Red Mountain straight across from the turn off to Entrada. Unfortunately, Mr. Pratt left for Denver this morning…

Ok, you caught me that last one really didn’t turn out so I had some fun in Photoshop. I think it looks kind of cool. Just before the 30 seconds of open shutter was stopping, a huge strike happened on that point of Red Mountain. When I saw the shot on the screen of my camera I thought I had missed the last strike, but that was due to it being completely burned into the photo.

Hope you enjoyed…

Awesome! Capturing bright cracks in the sky, that last milliseconds, on sluggish cameras isn’t easy. Great shots man.

I can practically touch the storm; it’s so close. The storm is still raging and the wind is going ape shit.

Good to read your posts again.
