There have only been a few silent rides during the Alliance’s tenure, but this one is definitely the hardest to write about.
I’m sure all of you who knew Doug, knew he was battling Cancer. He took his final, long silent ride today. He will be missed at every gathering and on every ride. Doug was a friend to all and a great man to have around. He knew things that were scary that he could remember and he was always willing to share his knowledge with anyone. On a personal note, I’m really not sure where I will turn for when no one else can help with mechanical issues, Doug just seemed to know everything that needed to be known.
We will be celebrating Doug this evening. Meet at Cimarron and Bryce’s at 7:30 for a long silent ride. After which we will toast goodbye…
