I told you all yesterday that some good things were in store for the area. Mr. Gurr confirmed my suspicions on a couple of these things today. So without any further ado, this is what is coming up…
First up, the Red Rock Rampage will be happening March 6th. This is a local favorite and a great opener to the Intermountain Cup. The weather is usually good but it has turned on us in the past…
Second, the Tour de Sol will be happening. The first road stage race to happen in Southern Utah for quite some time. If I’m not mistaken there has not been a road race in the area since the Chums Classic died an awful death. The details are still being worked out, but Mr. Gurr assured me this evening that it is on.
Third, the Tour de St. George will be happening. The route is the Spring version and as always will be beautiful. If you haven’t had a chance to ride this century, you should.
Fourth, the Cholla Challenge will go down on April 3rd.
Fifth, the big one. Yes, there will be an Ironman in St. George on May 1st. Last I heard there were 2700 athletes signed up to participate. It should be off the hook…
If that isn’t enough to get your knuckle out of the closet, I’m not sure what will.
Ride more.
