I was sitting at the light. I drove in this morning because someone was going to come look at the Demo. My bike was sitting on top. I noticed the cyclist waiting to cross on the other side of the road. I also noticed the pedestrian across from waiting for the light to change to do the same. Then I noticed about a block down that there was yet another person on a bike. I thought to myself, wow, it’s really great to see people out. Especially now that the weather has “turned.”
The light turned green. I proceeded through the intersection. About half way through, I noticed that something was happening to my left. I looked over only to see the moron who was waiting to make a left hand turn at the light next to me had hit the lady who was crossing the street. I thought, doesn’t that just stick it to you.
In other news, Double D has finally reached the apex of his existence. Many of you may not know Double D, but he is my golden boy. I hired him out of desperation, saying, “at least he’ll know what a bottom bracket is and what kind of tool he needs to remove it.” He came into the shop and surpassed all expectations. But back to his apex. The lucky guy was able to tuck bunk beds into his room, next to his queen size bed. Yeah, I know you are all thinking the same thing as I, sleepover!
Did I mention DD is 22?
Well, today is the best day of my life because tomorrow I don’t have to work, at least in the sense that I don’t have to go to the bike shop, clock in and be there all day long. I completed my 20 days and I hope to never do that again. I also hope tomorrow holds lots of riding, not sure where, but I am going to get out and ride something.
I also wish the dope who wanted to see my Demo would actually show up when he says he is going to…. that thing is not exactly easy to get up on top of the Mooseknucklermobile.
Well, I’m out. I gotta big night of trying to drown the monkeys.
Peace. Love. and Revolution.
