That’s not a truck

You know you are old when you start saying anything this way…

Back in my day, trucks had two doors and a bed. They weren’t made for carrying people but for cargo and being off pavement. If you needed to haul more people, you just stuck them in the bed and called it good.

It most definitely has everything to do with the fact that the truck I own is a “single” or “regular” cab, but I have developed a bit of a thing, prejudice, some might say, against any truck with more than two doors. Mostly, because trucks have two doors. Add an extracab or more doors and you really just have an SUV with a small bed so it looks like a truck.

Couple this with the fact that you can’t buy a new one that doesn’t have more than two doors and guess what, I’m stuck in my old crotchety ways and I am more than happy to tell you about them and argue to the death over them.

This is a truck.

100% truck, even if it is a mini
