Ah, I am totally diggin’ on this weather. I had to stop by the LS and get some stout. It just seemed appropriate now that Autumn has apparently arrived with a vengence. I awoke this morning to my phone telling me that there was a Winter Weather Advisory for Duck Creek. Knowing that the Sherm was going up that way, makes me curious on how that ride went..
Anyway, it’s been a few minutes since I’ve written and some good stuff has definitely been happening. And there are some good things coming up. So let’s get down to business.
The Alliance got in some good riding this weekend. We hit the Sidewinder and Barrel Roll with Girl Danni, as she has come to be known, in the morning. I finally got out on the prototype tires that were given to me by the Big S. I must admit that they handled quite well. The new Fast Trak got faster without losing any hook up. I would venture to say that it hooks up bettern than the last version. Also, I enjoyed the Ground Control that is on the front. This may become my tire set up of choice. I’ll keep you posted./p
pSeeing that I hadn’t been on the singlespeed for quite some time, the SCRR was a pretty good work out. So naturally, I decided to go out to Little Creek for an evening ride as well.
I picked up the Sherm and Cory Thompson in Washington and then we met Fixie Dave and Q at OTE. We proved that the Element can in fact fit five adults. We made it to the trailhead just before four. I warned the group that I was in deed quite tired. This proved to be true in that I every time I went up something my legs were tired. What more can I say? We had an excellent ride and then I got hungry.
And we all know what that means…
Moving on to things that are up and or coming.
First things first, we have a little trail maintenance project that will be happening on October 23rd. Mr. Prathers from the BLM will be helping us finish the signing he did this summer on the Goose. Meet at 10 am at the Gooseberry trailhead where we will enjoy a nice ride and will finish putting the stickers on some signs. Stay tuned for more details.
Next up, we have the first Alley Cat Race the Alliance has put together in about four years coming up at the end of this month. October 28th at 9 pm you should be rocking a fixed gear bicycle and be at the Main Street parking garage. We will rock out a race, the winner will sign the Mooseknuckler Cup and then we will enjoy some brews. Any questions? Hit me up in the comments.
I think that is all.
