Today is happy shower day

You’ve all heard me blabber on and on about how we had to ride to work for 30 days and we would get a shower. Well kids, today is the 30th and we had 100% commuting in the Service Dept for the entire month of April.

Let’s look back on what we learned.

1. It was suggested that we should get the shower and then do a month’s worth of commuting. However, I can say that I never heard one customer complain about our odors. It may have been because people are polite, but I think it is because you can ride a bike and not need to take a shower afterwards.

2. Stress melts away when I ride my bike. This wasn’t something that I actually learned this April but something that I had let slip away and with the challenge came the remembrance of said truth. I am happy when I get home from work, granted I rode home on my bike.

3. Simply riding your bike can motivate others to do so. Refer back to my post about my friend riding to work.

4. Bikes are the biggest form of rebellion known in our society. Again, not something I learned this month, but memories are good.

I’m sure everyone has a few they could share but we’ll cut the list off there. It’s been a good month and I’m glad we made it. Now we look forward to Bike Month when we will all drive our cars…

Happy May Day!
