I just got done writing about four paragraphs of stuff and then realized it made no sense and I had to start over. Sometimes writing in the evening is not the best time…
I rode my bike to work today. No big deal I know, but it makes me happy when I do and it makes me want to ride even more. And it makes me want to get other people out riding their bikes as well. And then pretty soon, we are all riding our bikes and the big corporations and their cronies don’t have anybody to screw any more because we are all sharing our bike lanes and eating lettuce from our gardens. And then we simply stop needing them so they disappear. And suddenly the world has changed.
I’ve decided that the best weapon for revolution is simply non-participation in the system. It all starts with something small, like riding your bike or heating your home with real wood, and then the layers of dependence begin to be pulled back and the world becomes much simpler. I see this as the only way a revolution can truly take place. Revolution means to me the complete reorganization of life for the better. The only way to do that is by reorganizing it by ourselves, for ourselves and then encouraging others to do the same. It could be contagious. Or it could just be nothing.
Declare your sovereignty.
