Just a little reminder that the Alliance is in full support of the moustache contest being presented by Red Rock Bicycle Co. I know some you are a bit shy about wearing a ‘stache but trust me the ladies dig a man confident enough to cover his upper lip with hair knowing full well how easy it is to get some tofu or egg stuck right in that bad boy as it hangs over your lip. Trust me, they love it.
And to answer your question before you ask it, it has been long enough since moustaches were worn by just about everyone for them to be cool again. It has taken a long time for the moustache to regain its place among the facially haired but it is slowly gaining ground.
For those of you who have been sporting a stache since the last time it was socially acceptable and have suffered the backlash of the fashion elitists who look down their long nose past their shorn upper lips and most likely over a soul patch at you and your hairy upper lip. Their is a place where you are accepted, supported and condoned. The American Mustache Institute is protecting the rights of and fighting discrimination against mustached Americans bypromoting the growth, care and culture of the mustache.
If there is a grander, more noble goal, I don’t know what it is.
In other unrelated news that I will attempt to relate, the Alliance will be holding our weekly peeping tom night ride this Wednesday. I haven’t determined the trail to ride as of yet but I assure you that I will keep you posted.
I have had a great time these past weeks riding the trails at night. The temps have been nice, exceptionally perfect this past week, and are guaranteed to continue to get better. Once it is cool enough to ride in the afternoon the Wednesday ride times will change and we will begin to rock things out old school like and stuff. So stay tuned.
