Life in General

I know things have been a bit few and a bit too far between and what I have posted hasn’t been anything else but shovelware. Quite frankly, I don’t have time to sleep so finding time to sit down and write a post of interest or personally related is almost completely out of the question. Things will continue like this for a mere two more weeks and then I will rock it with fotos and everything else.

In unrelated news related to the Alliance, I’ve begun to recieve press releases on a farely regular basis. Most of them I spam and move on, but yesterday I received an email vending spoke cards to support Obama. Well, I’m an anarchist and I strongly support Nader so why in #$@# would I want a spoke card or post a link on my website. Which is exactly what I sent to the person sending me the release. Oh well, life goes on.

I have finally got the ride schedule dialed, at least until I change it again.

Mondays will be our weekly mountain ride.  Meet at Sunrise at 5 p.m. We will do a different trail as often as possible. Right now we will be limited to rocking the River Trail and Green Canyon.

Wednesday will be the Alliance road ride. If you don’t know the drill yet, I’ll spell it out one more time, Sunrise at 5 p.m.

Thursday, this is the one I’m excited about. For the first time in the Alliance’s history we will have a women only ride. We will start with a road ride this coming Thursday and then rotate mountain and road every other week. If enough of you ladies get out we will start doing two rides a week. Of course, everyone is invited to all the rides so women aren’t restricted to the women only rides. You can come on Monday and Wednesday if you would like. Sunrise at 5.

Then we have Sunday. We will do either a mountain or road ride depending on the weather and how I feel. Meet at Sunrise at 2 p.m. To find out the plan for any given Sunday email me in advance or call the shop on Saturday, 753.3294.

And don’t forget Bike Polo this Friday at Merlin Olsen at 9 p.m.

Things really are crazy right now, but KB will be here this weekend so stay tuned for a nice little post in the next couple of days.

Until then…

Keep the rubber side down and you’ll be fine.

As some of you may or may not have noticed, there have been two posts recently that were not posted by yours truly. I’ve sent out the cry many a time to see if anybody wanted to post on the site and be part of the Alliance, and I didn’t get much response. I decided about a week ago to open the website to the all of the original four Mooseknucklers, this would include Sir Pratt (neetrith), Sir Gurr (RMan), and ProZac, who has yet to post. I hope that the variety is as welcome to the rest of you as it is to me.

And yes it was me who screwed up the photo journal not Bryce. I just had to meddle…..

Out.

Every once in a while I have to brag about how cool my family is. This is one case. Congrats KT. (more…)

As I’ve mentioned, I’ve been doing the best of training to get ready for this race. I decided, since it was so nice out today, to take a little jaunt on the fixie. (more…)

I got an email yesterday asking to be put on a mailing list for Alliance ride updates, such as the Alley Cat Races that will be taking place next Saturday. So, I guess it’s time to revive the old newsletter mailing list. I will be sending out an initial email, if you don’t want to get it just respond with unsubscribe if you are already on the list. If you want to be on the list send an email to newsletter@mooseknuckleralliance.org with subscribe as the subject and I’ll add you to the list.

Or you can just subscribe to the website and it will send you an email every time I post something here.

I ran across this, it’s a good laugh

Dear God,

Please send me an awesome bike person who has worked on bikes for years and only wants to work for a few hours a Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. Interested parties come in and see me or send me an email me @ Lukas (at) mooseknuckleralliance.org

Amen.

Hooptyhoorahray, I have a good feeling that the Alley Cat races are going to be off the charts. I’ve got the cup all ready to go including the Sharpie so the winner can sign his name proving him or herself to be the biggest Mooseknuckler. Mr. Keller is even going to pull the Pogliaghi off the wall for the race. I haven’t ever ridden with him, but people say he is off the hook regardless if he has been riding or not. I guess we’ll see.

I just hope some big egos show up so we have a descent race, cause we all know my sorry ass isn’t going to pull the line.

Remember, 10:30 pm @ Sunrise Cyclery.

Life goes on. Ride it on a bloody bike.
