Dear all:

Unofficial stuff here.  Just wanted to remind everyone that Critical Mass is on Friday the 25th (today).  Meet at 5:30 at Sunrise.  Hopefully everyone is getting the drill by now.

Here’s a report of last month’s ride for those still skeptical.  Before we started out, we had a brief discussion about bicycle safety and special laws applicable to riding on the road.  Everyone was in agreement that in order to foster a wholesome relationship between vehicle users and cyclists, there needs to be respect from both sides.  This includes bicycles sharing the road with cars.  I personally recommended that everyone register their bike with the City of Logan (after doing some research we discovered that it is, in fact, required by law).  It’s free, it’s a simple process, and doing so shows the city that there is a core of riders who want to responsibly use the road for transportation.  We rode two abreast the entire time, but shrank down to single file on Main St.  We had great response from the vehicles on the road.  The ride ended at The Pupusaria (a terrific El Salvadorian food joint in the Little Caesars strip mall) where we all partook of some great food.  All in all, it was a great time.

Anyway, I hope we can get a good group out tomorrow.  It’s the last weekend for CM before school gets out and everyone heads home or off to internships or what not.  So let’s make it a good one.

Peace.
