I just got one of these a couple of days ago so this is just an initial review. My first thoughts were that the front was too short and the arms would never keep my wrists out of the wind while riding. I felt it was not very well designed for cycling. I actually thought about sending it back for a size bigger, which probably would drown me but the arms would be long enough.

I commuted to class in the jacket today. It wasn’t snowing or raining so I can’t vouch for its waterproofness. My commute takes me up Temple hill and Old Main hill. Both of these leave me out of breath and sweating. My biggest challenge for clothing in the winter is to find something that breathes well enough to not leave me dripping wet when I arrive at school. I was happily impressed and surprised at how well the jacket wicked away my sweat. I could feel myself warming up and that I was sweating but as soon as I stopped riding I noticed that there was no moisture. I wasn’t wet, sweaty or hot. It was kind of shocking.

As far as fit. I found that the front fits perfectly when I am on the bike. The sleeves fit ok. They leave a slight bit of exposed flesh above my gloves. I found if I velcro the sleeves that this problem is solved without making the shoulders feel tight or restricting my movement. Everyone’s arms are a little different in size but I think I would prefer a slightly longer sleeve.

I will do a more thorough review after I have had the jacket for a few months and have ridden in the rain.
