If you are new to the Alliance, or you already consider yourself a Mooseknuckler and like to see yourself on the web. Check out the “Who are these guys?” page. I finally have a few pics up and you can see the crazy bastards that are the Alliance.

Not everyone is up yet and I will have to procure more pictures, seeing that for some reason I don’t even have a picture of the fourth original member, but we’ll work something out.

Due to certain obligations that I have made without thinking about the rest of you, the Mooseknuckler Cup will be moved up one week. That puts the race on March 1st. Yup, next weekend. I know you are all dieing for another chance at signing the cup so I figure a week sooner wouldn’t cause any complaints.

Letters to Congress are pouring in, but they haven’t heard from you yet. In less than 24 hours, more than 30,000 people urged their representative to support the “Internet Freedom Preservation Act” (HR 5353), an important new bill that that would turn the tables against Internet blocking and censorship and make Net Neutrality the law of the land.

We need to keep up momentum and show Congress that Internet Freedom must be protected. Follow this link to send your letter:

Video: Rep. Ed Markey talks about his new bill Take Action Now

Last night, a bill was introduced in the U.S. House that would stop Comcast, Verizon and AT&T from controlling the free flow on information on the Internet.

The only way we can stop these gatekeepers is if we all take action to support this crucial legislation:

In 2006, your voice helped stop mighty phone and cable companies from gutting Net Neutrality. In 2007, you pried open their cell phone networks and gave users a choice.

This year, we’re going to stop Internet blocking and censorship once and for all.

Why This is Important: Reps. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) and Chip Pickering (R-Miss.) introduced the “Internet Freedom Preservation Act” (HR 5353) to stop relentless corporate attempts to set up roadblocks on the information superhighway.

It guarantees Net Neutrality by restoring it in the foundation of communications law. This bold move promises that the public — not phone and cable companies — will control the fate of the Internet.

After returning to camp, it was time for things to get serious and by serious I mean we mentioned riding our bikes. There was a meeting held, and the committee decided it was best for Kathleen to be the first rider out instead of my feeble, old self. Mostly because she can actually run. I walked up with her to the start line to watch her rock it and was quite concerned with how far the run was. It took us a good half hour to walk to the start line. I would have been dead before I even made it to my two-wheeled love machine. (more…)

A Quick Event Update: Epic Rides 24hrs in the old Pueblo, February 15^th - 17^th.

Thursday and Friday brought rain, turning to snow on the cactus of the Arizona Desert for the 9th annual Epic Rides 24hrs in the old Pueblo. This made getting in on the muddy ranch road a daunting task for some. A few weak willed turned for home and missed out on an “Epic” adventure. (more…)
