Every once in a while I have to brag about how cool my family is. This is one case. Congrats KT.

One of the lucky recipients was Katie Salter, a teacher at Arrowhead elementary.

She says she knew the grant winners would be announced in February but couldn’t believe that she had won, “When you put that application in to get that money, you never know, so this is a surprise.”

Salter is going to use the money to start a broadcasting system called “The Point” and says it will be fully student involved, “They are going to write the scripts and choose what to investigate.”
