If you’ve been a Mooseknuckler for a while you may have noticed that the links on the right side of the page are no longer there, or at least most of them dissappeared. I got sick of having a huge list of stuff that may or may not be useful to you all. So, I moved ‘em. If you scroll down just a bit you will see two new links in the pages section of the website, one being for bike links and the other for Political links. If you needed that stuff it’s stil there.
Secondly, on this cold day in god’s country, I would like to invite any and all of you who are interested to drop me an email if you would like to post on this web page. I know I’ve made this call to action before but back then every original Knuckler had his own working, updated site (Sir Pratt I’m looking at you), so if any of you still feel like you need an outlet drop me a line and I will set it up so you can post here. After all, this is supposed to be an Alliance not a dictatorship. lukas@mooseknuckleralliance.org
Oh, by the way, Ryan Gurr for Dictator ‘08.
Peace.

I agree with the writer of the original opinion that we need to understand, appreciate and be able to suffer through hardship and be able to sacrifice.
This thread has gone from bad to worst with nothing more than rhetoric to justify differing, mostly bipartisan, views about our government. I think the original article desrves a bit more analysis, of the personal kind. (more…)

I had a real personal low today, the lowest of lows, a record low for this Knuckler.
It happened this morning on my way to school. After our dumping of snow, the sky cleared last night and we awoke to a winter wonderland. The powder was glistening this morning as I went to school at 7:30. My eyelashes froze together and every time I took a deep breath I got brain freeze. Of course, my bread was well frozen by the time I arrived, frozen solid. (more…)

La Maga came to visit me this weekend. We had lots of big plans of stuff to do but didn’t do much of any of it. (more…)

The snow was coming down heavy in big fluffy clumps. These weren’t the type of snow flakes that dance on the air as they come down, rather the ones that fall like big rain drops, thudding to the ground under their own weight. I was riding through it as usual, thinking that the 15 degree weather was much warmer than the 8 degrees I’ve been riding in. It felt almost balmy this morning. (more…)

It seems so strange that in many ways I’ve been here, but somehow I never learn anything and I just keep falling down the same stairs again, and again, and again. Once, you may say was enough, but not for me, for some reason I keep coming back for more and keep finding the reasons that aren’t logical and the things that are so far away. And the wasted time and space means nothing when all I want is so easy to have but still so far away. And for some this is encripted and for others it is just some code that I use so those who know keep knowing and those who don’t, will never have a clue what the hell I’m talking about. It boils down to me being stuck in a frozen winter wonder land where my beard is white from ice whenever I arrive and I can’t go outside because it’s too bloody cold. I used to feel so free and easy to be pleased and now I am discontent to be here and be doing what has no meaning to me. I’ve always wanted to be away from this life, from this mediocre existance, from capitalism, materialism, nationalism, patriotism, americanism, religion, life without meaning or feeling. I want to feel the cold burn my face as it clings to the particles of my skin too dumb to be covered up, the ones that hang out in the cold for no other reason then that’s where they are. They freeze, they sting, they grow numb, they hate me for what I have done to them in my hurry, or simply in neglect. They are my cheekbones. (more…)

About two years ago I purchased a compilation cd from G7 Welcoming Committee Records, the label of my favorite punk band Propaghandi. The second song on said compilation was titled “We Conquer” by a band I had never heard of before and that was definitely not punk, Warsawpack. I became fond of the song, listening to their politically charged lyrics about western civilization. After a few months I began to check the group out. (more…)

I pulled up next to a car at a light on my way home from work. I was on my bike. My breath was floating through the air in big white tufts. I had only ridden a block and a half and my hands already hurt through my winter gloves with the aching of cold hands. My beard was frozen. The little crystals hanging from the hair formed from the moisture in my white breath being exhaled from my warm interior. It was just after six. I had my lights on so cars could see me without any problem and I was waiting to get going, mostly I was just trying not to freeze the little flesh on my back side I refer to as my ass. (more…)
