I can remember a certain colleague of mine (he knows who he is) saying at the end of every day, “We are meant for something more than this.” I think I can relate.I work all day and when I am finally home my own projects that I would really like to do get left by the wayside because I just don’t have the energy. In all seriousness, it is hard to believe that this is life, that money is the driving force behind our existence. Actually it is impossible to believe. I can’t really understand why we are so stupid that for generations the masses have yearned under the flag of the American dream only to be used up and left to their own demise once their life span has come to an end. I choose to believe that the common man has the potential to overcome and conquer, but sometimes it is damn hard to keep optimistic. History is the most depressing subject we could ever teach our children. And this is us 2000 years ago, doing what we still do today, and this is us 300 years ago, fighting for the right to do what we are doing today. What exactly are we doing? Building the empire of the elites and holding up capitalism as if it was the key to success on all realms. We hold up our money and worship it on the altar of our despair because we have nothing else. We slave our lives away only to be discarded when our labor is no longer profitable. We do nothing.
Declare your sovereignty.
