It’s August and that means two things. 1) Moustache month is just around the corner and 2) Cross season is just around the corner after that.
I haven’t touched my bike since that one company gave me some wheels to test and made me sign a contract saying I wouldn’t blog about it. At this point I feel like I signed my life away. One set of wheels for how long, Jesus Christ, I’m not sure I can handle this much longer.
Just a couple of days ago, I aired up the old Cross bike and ran to the grocery store. It felt like reuniting with an old friend. The position was right, the tires felt good and all I wanted was to get some dirt under those skinny knobbies.
Plus, the past few weeks there have been numerous customers asking/discussing the upcoming cross season. According to the barely there, SGCX page there are a guaranteed five races with a possible Christmas Cross making for six. Woop! Woop!
