The Absolute Best of Interbike 2009

Interbike has now, come and gone. As I mentioned before, Interbike is an annual annoyance, and nothing more. But there were a few things that I found interesting..

High quality craftsmanship

High quality craftsmanship

I don’t remember the name of the company, nor do I care, but this was the second year I spent time gazing at their beautiful high wheelers, absolutely beautiful.

High Wheeler, to put the rest to shame.

High Wheeler, to put the rest to shame.

This penny farthing, was the highest of the high wheelers. If you look at the people in the background you can guestimate how high that saddle sits. There is a chain to reach the wheel and hydraulic disc brake on the rear wheel. Not exactly sure how to mount….

The best

The best

This bike was absolutely beautiful. It was sitting at the Edge Composites booth and I couldn’t walk by without snapping a shot. What can I say? Steel. Single. Simple. Sexy. I think you get the point.

All considered, Interbike was a success for this poor Mooseknuckler. I spent most of my time in tech clinics learning the ins and outs of the new stuff available from companies, such as Fox, Shimano, Campagnolo, Fulcrum etc… This was probably the most valuable Interbike I’ve been to. If you need your shit fixed. You know where to find me…

Out.
